Topical Talk - Fire & Ice: The volcanic worlds of the solar system Cunard and Fred Olsen Cruises lecturer Paul Fellows is co-presenter of the public open evenings at the Institute of Astronomy, University of Cambridge and gives weekly public sky tours and lecture presentations through the year with audiences of 200 plus. He's a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society & chairman of Cambridge Astronomical Society. Last year he thrilled us at the Club with his 'Northern Lights & Space Weather' talk - he's a 'stellar' performer! Paul's back with another fascinating, illustrated, talk 'Fire and Ice: The volcanic worlds of the Solar System'. Exploration of the Solar System has led to the discovery and study of volcanic processes on other worlds and in some very surprising places. What can this tell us about the formation of planets and also about the prospects for the possibilities of life beyond Earth? Thursday 12th March - 7.00pm Members - £14.50 | Non-Members - £16.00 | Includes talk & supper Book now at reception Call 01283 512 211
